Several industry international experts from Silicon Valley Venture Growth Partners who will cover the building of company presence, protecting Intellectual Property, and handling the Immigration labyrinths when foreign companies and entrepreneurs move operations to the USA and Silicon Valley. After an initial networking and registration process, Bank of West will introduce the panel. The notable panel will touch on the major topics impacting international presence. Then food and refreshments will be served, during which a raffle will be held for a special prize.

A senior executive in marketing and operations at major US, European, and Oriental companies in the semiconductor industry. He has been providing strategy, marketing and operations consulting to early and mid-stage companies in cleantech, electronics, and medical devices since 2004. He works at the intersection of innovation and strategy, moving ventures from pre-seed to growth. He has advised emerging companies in setting go-to-market strategy, and prepared founders and entrepreneurs for seed, angel, and Series A funding. His industry focus is in Power Electronics, Cleantech (Demand Management and Response, Storage, Efficiency, Electric Transportation, Smart Building), Medical Devices, Sensors and MEMS. From 2004 to 2009 he was Associate Professor at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, teaching 2nd year MBA courses in marketing strategy, consumer behavior, and advertising. During that time he was Academic and Program Director for the Executive MBA program. He

developed customized executive programs for major multinational corporations, new entrepreneurship programs, and faculty advisor in Executive-in-Residence at the incubator. He is active in the angel investor community, focused on energy efficiency, smart grid, electronics thermal management, and non-invasive medical diagnostics. He serves on the Executive Committee of Silicon Valley IEEE society chapter, and is President of the Engineering Alumni Society of the University of California, Berkeley. At the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative [iNEMI] he has been on Technical Working Groups on Solid State Illumination, Energy Storage, and is Chair of the Thermal Management Group. From 2009 to 2012 Mr. Malik was active in the Cleantech Open Accelerator in developing the program, enhancing it from an incubator to an accelerator. He mentored several startups during that time, and a number of them have gone on to become commercially successful. He earned degrees, MSEE and MBA, both from the University of California, Berkeley.
