Intracoastal Bank Selected as ‘Top 25 Community Bankers on Twitter’

PALM COAST, Fla. - July 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Palm Coast, FL – The Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA) has announced that Intracoastal Bank has been selected one of the Top 25 Community Banker Influencers on Twitter. This is the second year that ICBA has compiled these two lists, which highlight community bank social media trailblazers among the financial industry.

Cheryl Tanenbaum, Intracoastal Bank’s SVP/Chief Financial Officer, was featured on the Top 25 Community Banker Influencers on Twitter list.

ICBA Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Chris Lorence congratulated the influencers and added that consumers are expecting their financial institutions to have strong brand identity online and that these top community bankers understand that building a brand goes beyond just a physical presence - they consistently introduce fresh content and interact with their customers.

“It’s a privilege to be featured on ICBA’s Top 25 Community Banker Influencers on Twitter list,” said Tanenbaum. “We have always strived to make social media an integral part of our brand and communications strategy,” she added. She also said that social media lets customers community online directly with the bank and strengthens their ties in the community and customer relationships.

Community bankers throughout the nation were eligible to be part of ICBA’s list. Community bankers were chosen based on their engagement with fans and followers, the content distributed on their social media platforms, the number of fans and/or followers they have, and the frequency of posting new content. Several of the community bankers featured on ICBA’s Top 25 Community Banker Influencers on Twitter list will be profiled in September’s issue of ICBA Independent Banker.

There are nearly 2,500 banks that have a Facebook and Twitter presence, including more than 1,700 on Facebook alone. Of all the banks that have Facebook pages, more than half are banks that have between $100 million and $500 million in assets.
