Palo Alto Festival of the Arts featured Idaho Sculptor Ken Newman

At least once a year, Ken Newman heads to his native California, to sell sculptures at various art festivals. This year his work was chosen for the 33rd Annual Palo Alto Festival of the Arts which will be held August 23-24, 2014.
 
PALO ALTO, Calif. - July 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Ken Newman is one of the Featured Artists in California at the Palo Alto Festival of the Arts set on University Street in Downtown Palo Alto. The show runs Saturday and Sunday, August 23-24 from10am-6pm.

This will be Ken Newman’s first year chosen to participate and be featured at the Palo Alto Festival of the Arts (http://www.mlaproductions.com/PaloAlto/sculpture.html) in California. This high quality, community-friendly art event is sponsored by the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce (http://www.paloaltochamber.com/) and the City of Palo Alto. In the past it has attracted over 150,000 people every year from throughout California and the West Coast. Celebrating its 33rd year, the festival-takes place on tree-lined University Avenue in beautiful downtown Palo Alto, a vital economic area 35 miles south of San Francisco. Ken’s sculptures are just one of the 300 fine artists and crafts people whose studios are displayed booths back-to-back along University Avenue.

One of the highlights of the show is the Italian Street Painting Expo (http://www.mlaproductions.com/PaloAlto/spec-isp.html), sponsored by the Palo Alto Weekly, it will again offer sixty chalk artists creating larger-than-life works of art all weekend long on Tasso Street. This year's beneficiary of the funds raised by the Italian Street Painting Expo is Palo Alto's Youth Community Service.

The Palo Alto Parents & Professionals for Art are the organizers and beneficiaries of the kids' art & crafts area called the Kids' Art Studio (http://www.mlaproductions.com/PaloAlto/spec-kids.html). Also, the Kiwanis of Palo Alto will again manage and serve the micro-brews and fine wines that can be found throughout the festival.

The show features a number of artists from the Celebration of Fine Art in Scottsdale, Arizona including; Sondra Wampler (http://www.sondrawampler.com/), Robin Branham (http://fineartamerica.com/featured/love-of-abstraction-robin-branham.html), Robert Gutierrez (http://www.robertogutierrez.com/) and Adolfo Girala (http://www.artadolfo.com/) .
