PRLog - July 4, 2014 - THE RED BOOK. OLYMPIC ALBUM is a vivid conclusion to the Olympic triumphs, a gift to all sports and culture fans, and an opportunity to relive the unforgettable moments of the Olympics and experience the unfailing will to win. The triumph of sportsmanship, strength of mind and the flame of brilliant records have been captured in the images of talented contemporary photographers in the red Olympic album. Red is the color of sports, speed, will, and victory. Red is the color of Audi.

The first part of the album – Champions – has remarkably powerful photos of medalists captured by the camera of the well-known fashion photographer Natali Arefieva that convey the esthetic beauty of the trained bodies of the world’s most successful athletes. Outstanding athletes of the Russian national team took part in the project, including the flag bearer of Team Russia Maxim Trankov and Tatiana Volosozhar, two‑time 2014 Olympic champions in pair skating; 2014 Olympic champions in team event and individual silver medalists Ksenia Stolbova and Fedor Klimov; Sochi Olympic champions in figure skating team event Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitry Soloviev; Sochi bronze medalist and 2011 World champion in the giant parallel slalom Alena Zavarzina; and two-time Olympic champion in the giant parallel slalom and parallel slalom Vic Wild. The second part of the album contains works by Bob Martin, a world-renowned sports photographer and the winner of more than 50 awards, including the Sports Photo of the Year prize in the World Press Photo competition. His photos reproduce the most memorable and brilliant moments of the Olympic Games, its emotions, energy, and competitive spirit.

The album’s publisher is Audi Russia, Title Sponsor of the Sochi Olympic Games. “The drive to achieve new records is reflected in everything Audi does, from the sports features of its cars to long-term support for winter sporting events around the world,” said Elena Smirnova, Head of Audi Russia. “The status of Title Sponsor of the Sochi Olympic Games is a true milestone in our company’s ‘sports’ history in Russia. We are pleased to prolong and capture the joy of winning on the pages of this unique album, and give an opportunity to relive the atmosphere of triumph and celebration at the Sochi Winter Olympics,” Ms. Smirnova, Head of Audi Russia said.

The album will go on sale in large bookstores in the country and at all Audi dealerships.
