July 4, 2014 - PRLog -- MUMBAI, July 02, 2014: Riding on the success of its foray into infrastructure in Singapore, BSE listed Readymade Steel (RMS) Limited has announced the change of the company’s name as Kridhan Infra Limited (KIL).
Readymade Steel was listed on the bourses in July 2011 after a successful IPO in. As the economy slowed down, the company looked around for growth opportunities and acquired Singapore-based KH Foges PTE LTD that specializes in pile foundations for infrastructure projects like bridges and railways.
“The acquisition of KH Foges was a step towards integration, diversification and value creation for RMS. With KH Foges, we have been quite successful in Singapore as we won several projects across the board in High end Infra Projects like Metro Stations, Commercial Projects like Govt Hospitals, Hotels etc as well as several Housing board projects covering Residential. Now, we see a much greater opportunity in India than what we saw three years ago. This is exactly why we are keen on focusing on infrastructure projects, on the back of the success with K H Foges,” said Mr Anil Agrawal, MD of newly formed Kridhan Infra Limited.
KH Foges is a leading specialist contractor in foundation engineering works in Singapore. Its focus is to provide timely, quality and high value-added services to the building and construction industry, both locally and in the region.
RMS, one of the pioneers in introducing the concept of using Readymade steel products for construction activities in India, is primarily engaged in the processing of reinforcement bars into various shapes and sizes like cranked bars, stirrups, verticals, column /beam cages and pile cages etc.
“Together with the expertise and experience of KH Foges, we are sure Kridhan Infra will be able to play a meaningful role in India’s infra sector which is set for a boom with the new government’s commitment to give it the much-needed boost, Mr Agrawal said.
“We are already looking at participating in some key Indian projects,” he said.
Currently, RMS has a processing facility at Khopoli, near Mumbai with an installed capacity of 27,000 MTPA.
The company has executed prestigious projects like Mumbai Mono Rail, Sahar Elevated Access Road, Nashik Elevated Corridor, Palais Royale, Mumbai, Phoenix market City, Mumbai, World Crest, Mumbai, Orchid Crown, Mumbai.
