PRLog - July 3, 2014 - TOLEDO, Ohio -- The Fourth of July. Independence Day. A day for fireworks and barbeques, family and friends. A time to forget about the world for a while and just kick back and relax. Yeah, a time set aside to forget.
Gutter Man Gutters Supports The Ohio Patriot Guard
But it wasn't that long ago when the Fourth of July was a day set aside for “remembering.”
Luckily, there are some who refuse to forget. Who are committed to remembering the heroes responsible for the freedoms we have and making sure they're never forgotten. Fortunately, there are those whose commitment to honoring our fallen heroes is not just reserved for reflection one day out the year but living out that commitment each day throughout the year.
One such group is the “Ohio Patriot Guard”. The “Guard,” is comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds but they all hold strong to the singular belief that, "heroes should be honored."
This organization recognizes the unfortunate need for families of fallen heroes to be protected against the aggressive, misguided behavior and protests of individuals who hold hostile demonstrations at the grave sites of fallen heroes. The Ohio Patriot Guard has taken it upon itself to travel wherever called for, in order to shield the families of the fallen from such errant acts of hostility so they my bury their loved ones in peace. THAT is a true commitment to Patriotism and honor!
Gutter Man Gutters has recognized and respects the mission of the “Guard” and as such, has committed to donating 10% of its annual net profits to the Ohio Patriot Guard to support its mission.
Richard Pierce, President of Gutter Man Gutters, himself a military veteran and member of the “Special Forces”, strongly believes in the Ohio Patriot Guard and its mission. “These folks are the 'real-deal,' and I can't speak highly enough about them. We've checked them out and 97% of all the funds they take in go directly to support military veterans or their families. For any organization, especially for all they do, that's amazing!” (The Ohio Patriot Guard is a 501(c)(3) organization.)
The objective of the Ohio Patriot Guard is, “to honor our fallen heroes, their families, and communities by attending memorial services and funerals.” Their mission is to, “attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family.”
So, as you celebrate this national holiday, please reflect upon those who have fallen for your freedoms and organizations such as the Ohio Patriot Guard who keep those memories alive each and every day.
