Commercial Energy Performance Certificate

A Commercial Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) states how energy efficient your commercial property is. The ratings are graded as "A" to "G" (with "A" being the most efficient).

July 3, 2014 - PRLog -- You must have an EPC on your commercial property when: (http://www.renewableplanet.co.uk/#!commercial-epc/cpae)
You rent out or sell your comercial property
The commercial property is finished after being under construction
There are several changes in the commercial property, including extending or providing fixed heating, air conditioning or mechnical ventilation systems

You can be fined between £500 and £5,000 (based on the value of the building) if you don't have an EPC available to any prospective buyer or tenant.

Some commercial properties must display their commercial EPC if the following apply:

The total useful floor area is over 500 square metres
The building is frequently visited by the public
A commercial EPC has already been produced for the building's sale, rental or construction

Enquire now for a commercial EPC

From April 2018, it will be unlawful to let commercial properties with an EPC rating of "F" or "G". This would mean marketability of some commercial properties (approximately 20% of commercial properties could be in the "F" and "G" rating brackets) would become impossible unless upgraded to meet the minimum standards.

We suggest that the following actions are to be made:

All commercial properties needs to have an EPC assessment
An "Energy Efficiency Plan" shoild be made put in place to improve the Enerfy Efficiency of the commercial property.
