"Supermodel Showdown Costa Rican Adventure" Arrives At INDIEFLIX

LANSING, Mich. - July 3, 2014 - PRLog -- A unique TV/VOD project was created by Joe "Big Cat" Murphy, known in entertainment circles for his work in the music and model industry. The idea was to take aspiring supermodels and drop them into a jungle environment. When he was judging at a Hawaiian Tropic event he met international film actor/producer DJ Perry, also judging. A deal was struck for DJ to help write, produce and direct a TV series that would also feature popular model/actress Nadia Dawn as the host and the amazing photo work of G.W. Burns.

The show was shot and “in the can” as they say in the business. A promotional piece was premiered at several Red Carpet events in Boston and Hollywood. What followed was several near pick-ups by major networks but the right deal could not be made. The project was put on a back burner where it stayed for a period of time while Joe Murphy performed tour manager duties for large music acts like Taylor Swift and Brittney Spears. DJ Perry and Nadia Dawn both had busy careers inside the motion picture industry that kept them busy. The project floated for a time before catching the eye of Florida based businessman Sven Jansson who acquired the full rights to the project.

The series is a true unscripted reality show that showcases a series of contests between bikini models in the Costa Rican jungle. Additionally the show features the on-going comedic efforts of the crew trying to capture all this action. The results are an original feeling show that is often extremely funny to watch. The first three shows have been put together into three hour-long format shows. (44 minutes) The pilot shows will test run on Indieflix on their After Dark Channel.

The show is being posted in Michigan with Dennis Therrian as the post-supervisor. The distribution with Indieflix was set up by www.cdiproductions.com sales team. The first three shows will roll out in July with the first show “Welcome to the Jungle” kicking it off. The show will appeal to fans of photography, fashion, comedy, exotic locations and reality TV. The show strives to really have a positive message about beauty overall and includes a good dose of humor injected into it. Director DJ Perry stated that the classic TV series “Gilligan’s Island” was an influence on him in putting the show together.
