Kicking Off To A Great Summer At The Y

Children at Estock YMCA Receive Gifts from Local US Army Soldiers

SANTA ANA, Calif. - July 2, 2014 - PRLog -- On Monday, June 23, the YMCA of Orange County’s childcare center, Estock YMCA, started Summer Day Camp and was visited by local United States Army soldiers. Led by Sargent James Daniels, the soldiers brought puzzles, games, and other fun gifts for the children to enjoy all summer long.

Estock YMCA Teacher Jessica Marshall explains the kids’ reaction. “The children had a wonderful time and were really excited that they were here. They brought them pizza for lunch and they played with all the games and toys that the troops purchased for them. It was a great experience for the children to learn about patriotism and community.”

The US Army Soldiers came from the Fullerton Recruiting Company and Orange Recruiting Center. A special thanks to Sargent James Daniels, Staff Sargent Gilbert Serrano, Staff Sargent Michael Rodriguez, Sargent Shaun Caruso, Sargent Zingh Faia, Private First Class Andres Vega, and Private Adriana Vargas-Bravo for showing your support for the Santa Ana community and Estock YMCA.
