RIO RANCHO, N.M. - July 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Denver, CO, and Rio Rancho, NM – A young man and woman discover each other via a 19th century steamer truck and fall in love. But in order to be together, they must first cross a great physical distance – and 163 years. The time-bending romantic novel From Time To Time, published by Outskirts Press.

It’s 1850 in New York and Katrina Ahmansen is embarking on the adventure of a lifetime. As personal assistant to the famous Swedish soprano, Jenny Lind, the 22-year-old Englishwoman is in the Big Apple for the diva’s American tour. After each member of the singer’s entourage is presented with a new steamer trunk – a gift from the tour’s promoter, P.T. Barnum – Katrina’s great adventure promises to take an even more exciting new turn.

Nathan Thompson is a 24-year-old college senior living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a wealthy, beautiful girlfriend and bright future as a corporate attorney ahead of him. One day he discovers an old, dilapidated steamer trunk in his grandparent’s garage and, intrigued, sets about restoring it – setting in motion events that will change his life forever.

Nathan and Katrina soon discover the two trunks are in fact one and the same, a single item that crosses time and distance to connect them to each other. Once a month, on different dates, the two can interact via the trunk through letters, pictures and gifts. As they share their deepest thoughts, hopes and dreams, the two develop a deep, emotional bond and an unbreakable love. Unbeknownst to Nathan, a love-struck Katrina quits the tour and embarks westward on a quest to outwit time and join him.

But Katrina’s journey is fraught with great risks, and Nathan’s scorned girlfriend is determined to thwart this unusual affair. The odds are stacked against the young lovers in ways they may never have anticipated …
