New Physician to Join Cancer Treatment Services of Arizona

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. - July 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Cancer Treatment Services of Arizona, a 21^st Century Oncology affiliate, is pleased to announce that Board Certified Medical Oncologist Waqas Arslan, M.D., will be joining our Casa Grande practice. Dr. Arslan will provide comprehensive care for the treatment of blood diseases and various types of cancers.

Dr. Arslan earned his medical degree from the University of the Punjab in Rawalpindi, Pakistan and completed his residency as Chief Resident at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. He remained in Brooklyn and went on to complete a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology with Brookdale University Hospital & Medical Center. Dr. Arslan is also Board Certified in Hematology and Internal Medicine along with Medical Oncology.

Previously, Dr. Arslan has treated patients at Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS) in Phoenix, Arizona as the Medical Oncologist-Hematologist. He also serves a clinical assistant professor at The University of Arizona College of Medicine.
