The SBA Richmond Office held their “Heart of a Champion” Small Business Awards Luncheon June 13 at the Richmond Omni Hotel as part of National Small Business Week.
“We are extremely proud of each and every winner for their hard work, dedication, and fortitude that is reflected by our small businesses across Virginia,” said Acting Richmond District Office Director Jacqueline West. “Earning these awards takes a heart of a champion.” Henry was presented his award by Congressman Bobby Scott. In his remarks Henry attributed his success to having an amazing team and support from the Small Business Administration. “In order to experience extraordinary growth, one must have extraordinary faith and an extraordinary support system, coupled with a group of team members that believe in the vision of the company and its leader”, says Henry.
Devon Henry was recognized for not only for his business acumen but also his commitment to the community. As a highly involved community leader Henry’s actions outside of the office were acknowledged as well. As a growing philanthropist he has created an endowment at Norfolk State University with a focus on STEM education and worked with numerous youth development organizations.
