The Cupboard Inc. to reprise Broadway classics with “Broadway In Black”

INDIANAPOLIS - July 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Now that theater season is underway for The Cupboard Inc., the organization is proud to announce their second performance of the season with “Broadway In Black” in which members of the company will reprise classic performances from some of Broadway’s most beloved shows.

Broadway in Black will open at 6pm on July 27^th at the historic Athenaeum Theater. General admission tickets are $25 and open seating will be provided.

“Broadway in Black is one of two fundraiser shows The Cupboard Inc. is doing in order to help support the traveling troupe of The Color Purple.” said Joyce Licorish, who is the president of the organization and can be seen in several of the company’s shows including The Color Purple.

To ensure there is community involvement, the organization has invited well-connected and known people throughout Indianapolis to serve as presenters for each act during the show. The show will follow the same format as the previous show, Motown & Beyond that included presenters such as DJ Wrekk 1 of 96.3, Thomas “Sparkle Soxx” Griffin, Ferguson Mayfield of Successful Thinkers, Berny Martin of Midwest Fashion Week and more.
