King will speak on Triangle Transit’s role in guiding growth in the Triangle including expansion of regional bus service and options for light and commuter rail service. David joined Triangle Transit in 2006 after 32 years at the NC Department of Transportation, having most recently served as Deputy Secretary for Transit where he directed the department’s five multimodal divisions including Public Transportation and Rail. King is also is a key player in efforts to expand local and regional bus service and build light rail and commuter rail in the Triangle.
