Mr. Steinfeld has also been named one of Florida’s Legal Elite for 2012 and 2013 by Florida Trend Magazine, recognized as “One to Watch” for 2014 by Attorney at Law Magazine of the Palm Beaches, and identified as one of the Top Lawyers in Florida for 2013 and 2014 by the Legal Network and his law firm has been recognized by Acquisition International as one of the best practices in Florida for 2013 and 2014.
Mr. Steinfeld holds the highest peer review rating of AV-Preeminent by the national attorney ratings firm, Martindale-Hubbell. He has additionally been recognized with a 10.0 Superb rating from AVVO, the lawyer ratings website and is an invited Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, the national trial lawyer honor society. The LCA is composed of less than one-half of one percent of all lawyers in America and Mr. Steinfeld is a charter member of the LCA’s Trial Law and Diversity Law Institutes.
In his practice, Mr. Steinfeld counsels business people on how to avoid common legal problems by drawing on his vast litigation experience. He also regularly litigates in State, Federal, and Bankruptcy Courts throughout South Florida, involving issues of corporate governance and dissolution, contract disputes, business torts, trade secrets, UCC issues, real estate disputes, commercial mortgage foreclosures, special assets prosecution, commercial landlord/tenant actions, commercial arbitration, creditor’s rights, adversary cases in Federal Bankruptcy Court, and independent actions in probate.
Mr. Steinfeld is actively involved in teaching business law. He recently founded Everything e-Discovery, LLC to teach lawyers and paralegals how to properly and ethically perform electronic discovery and created e-discoverysoftwarereviews.com, which is a ratings site of e-discovery software for lawyers, by lawyers. In 2014, Mr. Steinfeld was also named a full Professor of Law at Dankook University Law School in Seoul, South Korea, where he teaches a summer course on the American legal system.
Dave was formerly a Captain in the U.S. Army JAG Corps. He earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and his bachelor’s from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He was a Rotary International Scholar to Japan in high school and speaks Japanese, some Korean, and is also an Eagle Scout.
