TFC Connect celebrates seven years of keeping global Kapamilyas close

QUEZON CITY, Philippines - July 1, 2014 - PRLog -- TFC Connect, one of premier network The Filipino Channel’s (TFC) exclusive programs, celebrates its seventh milestone year of being that indispensable companion for overseas Filipinos (OFs) and the link to their families in the Philippines, this June.

Launched in 2007, TFC Connect has been updating OFs with the latest events in their respective continents and from the Philippines as a bulletin board-type of show.  Later on, TFC answered the clamor of OFs for more information and updates from their families in the Philippines, thus emerged TFC Connect as the five-minute exclusive program now consisting of different interactive segments connecting the Filipinos worldwide, as summed up by the tagline, “Close tayo sa TFC Connect.”

In celebration of its seventh year and in line with TFC’s 20^th anniversary, TFC Connect will deliver more fun treats and exciting surprises for Kapamilyas abroad and their familiesin the Philippines.  Hosted by the multi-talented artist Dimples Romana, the rebirth of TFC Connect welcomes segments such as MissMo, featuring a family of an OF in the Philippines and airing every Monday and Tuesday; Kids of the Week, featuring the talents of young relatives of an OF and airing every Wednesday; Dear Dimples, a question and answer talk show discussing anything and everything under the sun and airing every Thursday; Kapamilya Treat giving a featured OF a special homecoming treat; and Kapamilyang Bisita, featuring a balikbayan who will be interviewed  live on the set of TFC Connect every Friday.  Social media segments such as BidaCam and Kapamilya Greetings also put the OFs in the spotlight as they can send in their photos and videos, respectively, through TFC Connect’s official Facebook fan page, featured at the end of the program.

Romana believes in the show’s mission, its content and her role to the OF audience.

She enthused: “I am more than privileged to become that indispensable companion, that shoulder which our Kapamilyas abroad can lean on or cry on whenever they miss their families in the Philippines.”
