ThePowerSite was formed back in April 2012, and started trading in the September of the same year. An internet based company – the threshold of their business is found online, using their own in-house team to design and build the structure and sites as a platform to sell a host of small machinery and power equipment, specialising in the sale of diesel generators, as well as a now established range of products for all-year round. Through their own website, www.thepowersite.co.uk, they now sell a huge range of top brand power tools and garden machinery to a growing base of commercial and private customers. Trading primarily in the UK, but also shipping items throughout Europe and beyond, the rapid growth of ThePowerSite has been very positive to say the least. In fact, from Quarter 1 of 2013 to the same period this year the company turnover has increased by a colossal 250% which gives them great confidence for future growth and ultimately led to them being nominated in the New Business category.
The award itself, which was sponsored by the Pembrokeshire Business Initiative (PBI) was fiercely contested, with ThePowerSite narrowly missing out on the award, which was voted for by Radio Pembrokeshire listeners and customers of the businesses nominated.
And although they didn't take the award home with them, one of the company directors, Sally Llewellin said "We were delighted to be nominated for the award in the 'New Business' category at the Radio Pembrokeshire business awards 2014.
