E-learning hub to educate on green cleaning practices

Duplex Cleaning Machines launched its first, free e-learning course to help educate businesses in the healthcare, education and hospitality sectors on green cleaning practices.

Director of Duplex Cleaning Machines, Murray McDonald, says businesses in these sectors are regular users of chemicals, water and energy due to their rigorous and daily cleaning requirements.

“Although businesses are becoming more environmentally conscious, traditional cleaning methods that use four times the amount of water and chemicals than necessary are still being used,” he said.

“It can be seen that the main reason why traditional cleaning methods continue to be used is because it is human nature for people to steer away from change, but it is also due to a lack of education."

“Our e-learning site aims to educate businesses in the specific sectors on green cleaning practices such as low water and chemical cleaning and improving indoor air quality, as well as providing downloadable step by step guides and templates.

“Businesses want to implement sustainable practices, and as easy to access “green” advice and online learning becomes more prominent it will help encourage environmentally friendly practices to become company standard.”
