Three Progressive Organizations Join Forces to Heal Post Traumatic Stress

Very promising preliminary data suggest a whole new approach to treating post traumatic stress (PTSD) is on the horizon.
DALLAS - June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- The Foundation for Positive Change, a Dallas, TX based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has partnered with Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio to conduct an independent study to establish the efficacy of a powerful new method for eliminating the stress responses associated with trauma, a condition known as post-traumatic  stress

The Crosspoint Recovery Support Center, also in San Antonio, is providing space for group presentations to teach veterans about the benefits of this revolutionary new treatment and to provide a platform for veterans to recover from post traumatic stress quickly, effortlessly and with no need to revisit traumatic events.

Preliminary results on the method known as Rapidly Accelerated Mind Patterning (RAMP) show the method to be exceptionally fast, effective and pleasant to experience. Longitudinal studies suggest that the positive results, once attained, are lasting. Veterans who have participated in the study to date have gone from stress levels in the 8 to 10 range (10 being the highest score) on the Subjective Units of Distress Scale (SUDS) to zero in as little as an hour.

To date 21 veterans have been treated with the RAMP method and each reported zero stress (a state of complete comfort and satisfaction) after just one 60 to 90 minute session.  Follow-up calls to these veterans find them still calm, symptom-free and coping with everyday stressors very effectively months later.

Tracy Davis, a veteran of the Iraq war, is one example. He was dealing with stress levels as high as 9 prior to his RAMP session. At the end of the session, he reported zero stress and ten days later reported, “I feel great! I’m more in tune with everything now. The anger is gone and I am connecting with people easily and authentically.”

Another is Carlos Rodriguez, a Vietnam veteran who had been battling post traumatic stress for 47 years. Eight months after a single session, Carlos reported, "It's still holding. I can do about anythng I want. The anger is gone and I am really doing really great." His daughter confirmed Carlos' observation.

Dr. Sherry Buffington, who is conducting the study says, “It’s really hard for people to believe that stress responses which have been derailing an individual’s life for years can be gone in as little as an hour; especially when they have been through years of therapy and all kinds of medication without relief, but as the old axiom goes, ‘the proof is in the pudding’ and, in this case, the ‘pudding’ is really amazing.”

Currently the study is focused on combat-related post traumatic stress, but the RAMP method has proven highly effective in eliminating the post traumatic stress response in many other situations, including the effects of childhood abuse, domestic violence, rape, sudden catastrophic loss, and in helping reduce stress and increase the effectiveness of firefighters, police officers and other first responders who deal with the constant stressors inherent to their jobs.

RAMP treatments are provided to veterans free as part of the independent study. To learn more about the study go to www.foundationforpositivechange.org.
