Nicholas J. Kirby Joins the Phoenix Office of Snell & Wilmer

PHOENIX - June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Nicholas J. Kirby has joined the intellectual property group as an associate in the Phoenix office.

Mr. Kirby helps clients protect intellectual property by acquiring patents, registering trademarks and providing guidance through the licensing process. He prepares and prosecutes patent applications related to software, business methods, semiconductors, mechanical devices and electronic devices. Mr. Kirby also develops and implements strategies for licensing and asserting intellectual property rights.

His previous law firm experience includes preparing U.S. patent applications and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in semiconductor, software and mechanical fields. He has also prepared and prosecuted U.S. trademark applications, conducted clearance projects and prepared infringement analyses in preparation of potential litigation.

Mr. Kirby attended the University of Arizona where he graduated with a B.S. in General Mathematics and Computer Science. He went on to earn his J.D., Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law.
