Always located in lavish environments, the first event in 2011 was held at Atlantis Hotel & Resort, Paradise Island, Bahamas. With the formula that each year would be held in a different location, the second event moved to Ritz Carlton Cancun, Cancun, Mexico. It was at this second event that its unique format became clear - from a day out on Sunseeker Super yachts to the hard hitting debate panels that tackled difficult topics affecting the industry, and the open floor policy that cultivated energetic interaction of all delegates.
The third event was the first in United States, held at the world renowned Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Beverly Hills, California, boasting record attendance for the third year in a row, as well as highlights such as its Super Bowl Party in the Gable & Lombard three-floor rooftop Penthouse at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel, and a party in the Playhouse Nightclub, voted 4th best nightclub in the world, right on Hollywood Blvd.
The 2014 event was held at Ritz Carlton Sarasota, Sarasota, Florida and again saw record attendance with 111 different companies attending from all over the world. The extended networking time and planned networking events are the core success of these conferences as it allows Presidents, CEOs, COOs, VPs, Directors and more to find new clients, strategic partnerships and products and services in an environment full of decision makers. But delegates also love the all included social events too, which in Sarasota included a Sport Fishing Tournament, Beach Club Party, a Dinner, Casino & Party on a 180ft long, three deck Yacht Starship and much more. This conference also included a Keynote Speech from Captain Richard Phillips, shortly after the release of the movie “Captain Phillips” where he was portrayed by Tom Hanks. His moving and inspiring story captivated everyone.
With the 2015 event also being the 5th anniversary of the GNEX Conferences, there are even more exciting activities planned for delegates to enjoy, including the GNEX Dream Car Challenge – a day of driving exotic sports cars valued at more than $250,000 each around a purpose built auto-cross track at a nearby stadium. Plus a party onboard the historic USS Midway complete with tours, flight simulators, food, drinks and music – and two more party nights still to be confirmed. On the business side, the sessions will once again highlight the most relevant of topics within the industry, and boast an incredible line-up of industry speakers.
