IT pioneer secures its place in the UK government’s G-Cloud 5 framework

WIMBLEDON, U.K. - June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Program Framework, the project and change management specialists, can now announce that it has been selected for the UK government’s G-Cloud 5 procurement framework, specialising in the deployment of Microsoft Project Online.

This is a significant achievement for Program Framework as it represents the realisation of what has been a sustained process of planning and preparation. For a company that has built its business on providing bespoke solutions by understanding client needs, Program Framework has had to demonstrate flexibility in becoming a G-Cloud supplier as the public sector traditionally operates differently to the private sector; with a stringent criteria that all partners must be able to demonstrate.

Director Gero Renker was the instrumental driving force behind Program Framework securing its place in the G-Cloud. “It has been an interesting journey for everyone at Program Framework to be part of the UK government’s new tendering process”,says Gero “Creating packaged solutions for G-Cloud 5 presented a unique challenge, but our expertise in Project Online gave us the confidence to develop five packages that all met the expectations set by the government.”

G-Cloud 5 represents a refresh of the government’s G-Cloud procurement route that depends on the flexibility and solutions provided by businesses that exclusively offer Cloud-based services. The admin-heavy, inflexible, long-term supplier contracts of the public sector has been replaced by the G-Cloud; a significantly more efficient and timely initiative.

The key for Program Framework securing this pitch was to create packaged Microsoft solutions that the end user can interpret, both logistically and financially, before outreaching to its chosen supplier; significantly reducing the administration on both sides.

Program Framework’s five packaged solutions were meticulously analysed through the due diligence process to ensure they met the expectations and standards set by the UK government. G-Cloud 5 has only two intakes of suppliers per annum yet those suppliers can expect to have a presence within the G-Cloud for two or three years; making it an exciting time to be part of Program Framework.

Although the solutions are presented as packages, once a contract is confirmed Program Framework is able to customise the solution to meet its individual client needs with their usual gusto, providing visibility to project managers, as well as managing the processes as they evolve and assist the client with the necessary cultural shifts in changing their IT or management workplace solutions.

With a contract already in progress with a public sector organisation and further contracts anticipated, Program Framework is making the move from Wimbledon to the City of London, in order to manage its forecasted growth and based in closer proximity to its financial and technology clients. For this innovative tech company, challenging the accepted software models is something to be embraced.
