Animal Welfare Group Donates Pet Oxygen Masks To Local Fire Departments

BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. - June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- BULLHEAD CITY, AZ – Bullhead City’s SAINT, Saving Animals In Need Together, recently donated, through a benefactor, ten sets of pet resuscitators to the fire departments in Bullhead City, Fort Mohave and Mohave Valley, AZ.

“It’s to help with the saving of animals lives, which is also SAINT’s mission, helping to improve the lives of animals.”, said Jeanne Brookes, SAINT President, during a presentation at the Bullhead City Dog Park on Saturday, June 27, 2014. Members of SAINT, the Bullhead City Council, Bullhead Fire, Fort Mohave Fire and Bullhead City mayor, Jack Hakim were also in attendance.

The idea for the donation came from SAINT board member, Donna Hill. Hill said she wanted SAINT to bring something to the community to help the entire community.  During the presentation, it was mentioned that the masks could be used to resuscitate small children, as well as animals.  Hill said, “I’m really thrilled that we can do this for the community.”

SAINT’s benefactor, Kay Rozzi, was also introduced during the presentation.  “She is a true supporter of SAINT, and we appreciate it so much,” Brooks said of Rozzi.   Rozzi responded by saying how much pleasure she takes in helping those who cannot help themselves.

Mayor Jack Hakim also had something to say about the donation. “We really care about our pets. When you’re reading the paper about a fire at a home and that there is an animal that has succumbed from smoke inhalation, you have to remember what that dog or cat meant to the owners.  They are family. We are all animal lovers, and we really care about how our pets are treated, and if there is a chance to save one, that’s what counts.”

The presentation concluded with a demonstration of the resuscitators on both the Mayor, and a dog from the audience.
