ROSEVILLE, Mich. - June 30, 2014 - PRLog -- June 29th, 2014: The Roseville Heritage Foundation and Christian Financial Credit Union (Presenting Sponsor) proudly invite you to be a part of an event destined to be one of Roseville’s signature events; drawing thousands of people to the region and promoting the tradition of Car Cruising.

With hundreds of classic, antique and “souped-up” automobiles anticipated to be cruising through this Historic Strip; the Roseville Gratiot Cruise is fast becoming a favorite for car collectors, fans and spectators from far and wide. Auto enthusiasts, casual observers and families alike are invited to experience the revitalization of one of the Eastside’s most historic pastimes….Cruising Gratiot, which will take place Saturday, July 26th, 2014 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Gratiot Ave., between 10 mile and 13 mile

This year’s cruise will officially begin with opening statements from the 2014 Grand Marshalls, Macomb County Executive, Mark Hackel and Roseville Mayor, John Chirkun. The Official kick-off cruise parade will then enter onto Gratiot Ave, from Common Rd. into an “all lanes open” style cruise, which means there will not be a designated cruise lane; instead all lanes will be a designated “Cruising Zone” between 10 Mile Rd.and 13 Mile Rd, Additionally, there will be many participating sponsors and businesses along Gratiot Ave offering special promotions, activities and contests throughout all of Roseville.

Because of the high level of expected participation from our community, no parking is allowed on Gratiot Ave within the “Cruising Zone” during this event to ensure the safety and viewing pleasure of our guests. The “Right of Way” area (Curb-to-sidewalk) has been designated as seating areas only (no tents, cars or BBQ’s allowed)

Headquarters’ for this years’ event will be located at the Roseville City Hall Parking Annex; please stop by for more information and to meet some of the representatives and sponsoring businesses that helped make the Roseville Gratiot Cruise possible such as: Christian Financial Credit Union; C and G News; Highway Auto; Rizzo Sanitation; National Coney Island;  RCO Engineering, United Auto, Dooley’s and Costco.

Additional fun-fueled activities will include the Roseville Gratiot Cruise “Scavenger Hunt”, Roseville HS Auto Shop Reunion Show, Mike Riehl’s Veterans Returning Home Car Show; Kroger’s One Touch Benefit, Kmarts’ St. Jude Fundraiser and a Costco Customer Appreciation Event

The Roseville Gratiot Cruise Event is produced by The Roseville Heritage Foundation, which is a 501 (c) nonprofit organization. All proceeds go to help and support the foundation and its goals to promote the Roseville community and sponsored events.
