Silicon Bay Partners to Open Technology Coworking Space

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - June 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Silicon Bay Partners recently announced its plans to open an incubator/coworking space exclusively for technology professionals. “Over the past several years entrepreneurs have increasingly turned to co-working spaces – shared rented areas with collaborative space, cubicles, offices, conference rooms and all the comforts of work,” Hucks said. Space can be rented by the month.

In addition to cost savings, coworking facilitates relationships which lead to new companies. Freelancers often meet, have lunch and exchange contacts, which results in their hiring one another or collaborating on totally new ventures, he said. Unlike many incubators, Silicon Bay Partners will not require users to compete for membership. Anyone can sign up as long as there is room, although members are required to sign statements of community standards.

An opening date has not been set as a building search is still underway. The new coworking space will most likely be located in the Hyde Park area of Tampa, FL or Sacramento, CA. The facility will offer secure gated tenant parking and will also house the corporate offices of Silicon Bay Partners. Office amenities also include reception services, mail distribution, free coffee and sodas, and cleaning.

Hucks, who has lived in south Florida and the Tampa Bay area for more than 20 years, conceived the idea after spending a few years in Silicon Valley while working on various tech projects. “We already know the talent exists in our targeted locations. We’re simply hoping to bring the energy and creative vibe of Silicon Valley with us,” he said.
