Bridgeport Village Announces “Camp Bridgeport” Summer Schedule

PORTLAND, Ore. - June 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premiere shopping and dining destination, announces the 2014 Camp Bridgeport schedule.

Taking place in the large gazebo in the middle of the center, Camp Bridgeport is a free event for kids, with entertainment provided by Radio Disney every Wednesdays from July 9 through August 27th from 11:00am- 1 p.m.  Camp Bridgeport offers kids the chance to get up and move around, dance, sing, play games and win prizes. Kids and parents can also enjoy free balloons and surprises from the Guest Services kiosk, as well as the large playground area next to the gazebo.

This year the 11am start time is a new later start time so that families can enjoy Regal Summer Movie Express ($1 summer movies) or to attend or attend Barnes & Noble Wednesday Story time (10am each Wednesday)before the event and then head to Club Bridgeport after for more fun!

Each week will feature a different themed event.  Here is the 2014 “Camp Bridgeport” Schedule:

•          July 9th          Disney Planes “Fire & Rescue” Party:

o          Take an adventure with Radio Disney Portland for a Planes Fire & Rescue theme event! Radio Disney Portland will be playing games, handing out awesome prizes and dancing to your favorite Radio Disney tunes!  Kids will be able to make paper airplanes on-site and there will be a fun paper airplane contest to see whose airplane can go the furthest!

•          July 16th         Pirate & Princess Party:

o          Come dressed as your favorite pirate or princess and join Radio Disney Portland for Disney Jr. themed games, music and prizes! Take a photo with one of the pirate standees and practice your royal wave and curtsey with the Radio Disney Road Crew!

•          July 23rd         Muppets Most Wanted Green Carpet Affair:

o          Join Radio Disney Portland for a Muppets Most Wanted Green Carpet Affair! Walk the green carpet, take a photo in front of the Muppets Most Wanted backdrop and don’t forget to wear your favorite green attire!  There will be many chances to win a Muppets Most Wanted dvd and the first (50) kids will receive a Muppets Most Wanted puzzle.

•          July 30th         Doc McStuffins Toy Check-Up hosted by Radio Disney Junior:

o          Calling Dr. Kids! Grab those lab coats, stethoscopes and join Radio Disney Portland for a Doc McStuffins Toy Check-up! Bring your favorite stuffed animal for a check-up with the honorary Docs at the Toy Clinic. All kids will receive a Doc McStuffins Check-Up Check List with stickers.

•          August 6th-    Teen Beach Movie:

o          Hang loose or rev up with Radio Disney Portland for a Teen Beach Movie Bash! Dress like a surfer or biker and be one of the first 50 kids to receive a Teen Beach Movie Beach Ball!

•          August 13th- Disney Jr. Sofia the Princess Royal Academy:

o          We request the honor of all Prince and Princesses to join Radio Disney Portland for a royal affair. Dress as your favorite prince or princess to walk the royal carpet to win prizes, play games and decorate a royal crown!

•          August 20th- Frozen “Sing- along”:

o          “Let it go, let it goooo” is what Radio Disney Portland will be singing and dancing to on August 20th for a Frozen sing-along! Join Radio Disney Portland to sing-along to your favorite Frozen tunes, create and “Olaf” craft and “finally do what frozen things do in summer!”

•          August 27th- Superhero Mission Event:

o          Calling all Superhero’s! Radio Disney Portland needs YOU for a special superhero mission on August 27th. Put on your capes and bring out the superhero powers for a superhero themed event.  Spin the superhero prize wheel for a prize, show off your superhero poses and win prizes with Radio Disney Portland.

Events do not include character appearances.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.
