2014 Ryan’s Quest Golf Outing Another Great Success

June 27, 2014 - PRLog -- As part of its everlasting support of the organization, Hamilton Honda served as the primary sponsor for the 2014 Golf Outing for Ryan’s Quest, which also featured an appearance from former New York Giants Jessie Armstead and Antonio Pierce.

The annual golf event was a success once again, raising much-needed funding for Duchenne muscular dystrophy research. Golfers were treated to two full golf courses, various raffle prizes and contests to fit any golfing skill – including longest drive, hole-in-one and putting.

"We would never be able to accomplish so much in one day without the support of our main event sponsors Hamilton Honda, Jessie Armstead, Antonio Pierce and Mike Saporito,” said David Shultz, who co-founded Ryan's Quest with his wife, Maria, in honor of their son. “We are proud to be affiliated with such an honorable group of individuals."

According to Schultz, research for Duchenne muscular dystrophy has made monumental progress in the past year, with many clinical trials underway. Events such as the golf outing have been critical in helping Ryan's Quest to make a difference in the landscape of Duchenne.

For the past five years, Hamilton Honda has shown great support for Ryan’s Quest, which aims to increase awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. In addition to the annual golf outing, the dealership also sponsors the Ryan’s Quest Annual Valentine Ball held at the Westin Princeton, which brings in over 500 attendees. Armstead and Pierce have also received the Ryan's Quest Hero Awards for their consistent support of the organization’s mission.

“With the support of our donors, family, and friends, we hope to continue this fight and see it through to the end,” Schultz said. “We thank all who support us each year and who continue to believe in our mission to end Duchenne.”
