Humanities Council of Washington, DC Announces $5,000 “Who’s a Washingtonian?” Grants

June 27, 2014 - PRLog -- (Washington, DC) - The Humanities Council of Washington, D.C., has announced new grant opportunities for DC-based non-profit organizations and programs. “Who’s a Washingtonian?” Grants are designed for projects that actively seek to spark dialogue between groups of residents that have historically been isolated from one another either geographically or culturally. Using the humanities disciplines as lenses, these projects will help Washingtonians better understand the ties that bind them such as music, literature, history, religion, and language. Eight $5,000 awards will be given. The deadline to apply is August 8, 2014 at http://wdchumanities.org.

There will be two complimentary workshops to help applicants prepare their proposals. These workshops will be held on July 8 and 10 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
