Local Organizations Come Together to Show You the Way

ARVADA, Colo. - June 26, 2014 - PRLog -- On any given day you may be driving from one Metro Denver business to another, looking at different stores and the signs that point to them without realizing it. In fact, you may not realize how important a sign can be to help you find your favorite taco shop or bridal boutique. While you may not put much thought into it organizations in Arvada, CO are coming together and creating the most eye-catching signs.

With the support of the Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA) a local bridal boutique and alterations studio, The Wedding Seamstress, is ramping up their effort to visually entice brides-to-be to come in and become clients. For three years now AEDA has offered small businesses the opportunity to receive up to 50% of the cost of their sign back once it is complete through a grant program. AEDA Marketing Manager, Allison Trembly says that “the Small Business Grant Program is there to help Arvada businesses improve their own storefronts, which in turn adds value to the surrounding business community”.

The Wedding Seamstress in Olde Town Arvada has attempted to do just that. Working with local sign gurus, Gator Graphics, they hope to create a visual representation of their business on their storefront through much needed signage. The sign they decided to ultimately go with isn't just any sign though. Deedee Vicory, owner, says “we chose to work with Gator Graphics to create a sign that is memorable from the moment you see it. They really looked at what our bridal boutique represents in terms of elegance and sophistication and came up with a truly remarkable design.”

The sign that ultimately was created is a handmade wooden sign that took over 35 hours to create. Using re-purposed redwood from a previous life the sign brings the shabby-chic look of the The Wedding Seamstress interior and website to create an image that brides-to-be can instantly recognize. “We hoped to create a look that our brides will love, that other businesses will be inspired by, and to be honest will be the best looking signage in all of Olde Town Arvada, hopefully rivaling some of the best signs in all of Denver” says Justin Vicory of The Wedding Seamstress.
