The Doobie Brothers are Takin It To The Streets, with a new tour and upcoming CD

LOS ANGELES - June 26, 2014 - PRLog -- The Blend with Steve Benz – The founding member of The Doobie Brothers, Patrick Simmons joined the nationally syndicated show to talk about their upcoming CD, and their summer tour.

The Doobie Brothers hit the stage at Montrose Beach in Chicago, and rocked another city. “We've been performing over 100 shows per year for some time. Its great to see the fans and play new music, said singer, songwriter Simmons.

“The Doobies Brothers are a staple in American pop music culture. You cannot turn on a radio station anywhere in the country and not either hear their music, or hear their influence. Their unique sound, melodies and vocals, are second to none,” said host Steve Benz. “If you can see only one band this summer, you will never ever go wrong with The Doobie Brothers.” "The Doobies Brothers are one of those great vocal and lyric groups from the 70's. Their music has stood up to the test of time, and rightly so. Their election into the Hall of Fame was well deserved, and it was about time.”

“Our new record coming out later this year, gave us a chance to work with new artists. Its not really a country album but does bring us back to some of our country roots. Some of the artists we are working with include Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton,” mentioned Simmons.

The long list of artists on the new CD will bring back the sound of former Doobie Brother Michael McDonald. “It was great having Michael back and have him work on the new CD, said Simmons.
