RATP has trusted again in GOAL SYSTEMS to schedule the resources for two lines of its

PARIS - June 26, 2014 - PRLog -- MAY 2014 - Paris, FRANCE. GOAL SYSTEMS has been awarded the international tender issued by the RATP to schedule the resources of lines A and B of the RER in Paris. To carry out this implementation, the Spanish company will use two of its top products: GoalRail®metro, designed to solve multiple scenarios, optimizing the use of engines and drivers, minimizing a cost function comprising all economic variables and the quality of service involved in the planning; and GoalStaff®, focused on making the companies more competitive and profitable by optimizing the allocation of human resources, while ensuring compliance with legal regulations, collective agreements and internal company rules.

It is a very complex and challenging project, in which the lines are exploited by two different operators (RATP and SCNF) and, moreover, RER is used as a metropolitan express network in Paris with multiple correspondences with the metro. The RER A crosses the city of Paris from East to West while the RER B crosses it from North to South reaching the two city airports. This network allows a stable commuter rail service with frequencies of 10-15 minutes in off-peak time, in a range of 15-20 km from Paris; and 20 minutes within a range of 40-50 km from Paris, these frequencies increase during peak hours.

GOAL SYSTEMS’ vast experience in resource optimization as well as the large investment in R&D made by the Spanish company over the past years, were the key to be awarded a project of this magnitude.

With this new contract, GOAL SYSTEMS continues to expand its international references demonstrating the magnificent results that may be obtained through the use of its software for resources optimal planning in the transport industry.
