Pallett Valo adds another Associate to their Construction Law practice group

June 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Anne Kennedy, managing partner of Pallett Valo LLP, Mississauga’s largest business law firm, is pleased to announce that Cara Shamess has joined the firm’s Construction Law Practice.

Cara provides legal counsel to owners, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, developers, architects, engineers, sureties and mortgagees. Cara assists clients with a variety of construction-related legal matters, including bidding, tendering and RFP/RFQ issues, contract review and negotiation, construction liens, disputes involving breach of contract, breach of trust, bonds, professional negligence and delay.

Cara was called to the bar in 2003.  She is a graduate of the JD Program at the University of Toronto, and also holds a B.Sc. (Hon.) from the University of Western Ontario.  She is a member of the Toronto Construction Association, and is involved with The Construction Institute of Canada Professional Development & Accreditation Committee.  She is also an Annual lecturer at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto.
