The ink manufacturing business in the United States has been growing at an annual rate of 6.9% since 2009, and promotions such as match pricing have helped the business improve and stay afloat, especially since online competition is fierce.
To stay competitive with other online stores, TriggerXpress is preparing to lower all of their pricing on their website. The average price per page for large, high-yield cartridges is about 3.4 cents for black and 10.4 cents for four colors. TriggerXpress plans to be on the lower end of this price average. Until they are ready to permanently set the price changes, they are offering potential customers the chance to try their high quality compatible toner cartridges at a much more competitive price.
High quality toner cartridges, such as HP's products, can help a company reduce reprints, so there is less wasted paper, toner, and energy.
"This should generate more business for the company and let people know that they can get high quality compatible toner cartridges at the same low price as their competitors [who are] offering a much lower quality product," said Chris Kovas, Marketing Manager at TriggerXpress.
Quality products like Enhanced Monochrome Toner requires 15% less power to reach fusing temperature, resulting in a 10% to 15% improvement in printing system energy consumption per page. These top-of-the-line products will now be available to customers at a competitive price.
"Staff are prepping for what should be an increase in customer calls to take advantage of the price match deal," Kovas said. "We have been planning a big change in pricing for all of our inventory sometime in the final quarter of 2014. By offering our customers this price match deal, we can give them that low pricing in advance."
