Hollywood & Highland Free Jazz Concert Series Kicks Off July 1st

LOS ANGELES - June 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Hollywood & Highland kicks off their ever-popular annual wine & jazz summer concert series and fundraiser on July 1st with jazz great Pete Escovedo. Locals, tourists, music lovers and wine enthusiasts alike are welcome to the free concert series, an iconic part of the Los Angeles’ summer season. The event takes place every Tuesday evening in the Central Courtyard (2nd Level) from July 1 – July 29 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. With a direct $5 shuttle service to the Hollywood Bowl, it’s the perfect starting point for a fun night out.

With sponsorship by kjazz 88.1 FM, fine wines by Stella Rosa and food by Wolfgang Puck Catering, the 5-week Wine & Jazz Concert Series features a popular act each evening, closing with legendary Latin jazz artist Poncho Sanchez on July 29th.

Since the series’ inception, Hollywood & Highland, Hollywood’s prominent retail and entertainment epicenter and kjazz 88.1 FM have raised nearly $350,000 for Project Angel Food. The entertainment is free. Wine and light appetizers are $10.00. All proceeds from the wine bar will directly benefit Project Angel Food, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to deliver free and nutritious meals to men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS and other serious illness.

Attendees can complement their visit with premier shopping and dining at Hollywood & Highland, one of the world’s most prolific entertainment epicenters.

Featuring multi-levels of shops and restaurants as well as the iconic Dolby Theatre (home of the Academy Awards®) and famed TLC Chinese Theatre, Hollywood & Highland boasts over 70 brand-name retailers from Louis Vuitton and BCBGMAXAZRIA to quintessential California stores including Kitson, Guess, Oakley, Skechers and Lucky Jeans. This iconic destination also features acclaimed restaurant and nightlife offerings such as The Grill on Hollywood, Cabo Wabo Cantina, Hard Rock Cafe, Lucky Strike Lanes and OHM Nightclub.

The Center is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and offers $2 parking for two hours with validation.
