Transportation Payment Benchmark Study Released

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - June 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Today, The Fifth Annual “Transportation Payment Benchmark Study” was released by American Shipper in cooperation with the Council of Supply Chain Management (CSCMP) and the Retail Industry Logistics Association (RILA).

A3 Freight Payment is the first independent freight payment provider to sponsor the research and its publication by American Shipper.

“We are extremely proud of our sponsorship of the study. For the last five years, this benchmark report has been THE clearest look into the state of freight payment practices among shippers.” said Ross Harris, CEO of A3 Freight Payment.

This year’s study is subtitled “Paying the Price for an Outdated Freight Payment Process.”  Although A3 Freight Payment had no role in picking this subtitle, Harris sees this as an appropriate moniker.  “Many shippers remain with a mediocre process or provider rather than expending the time and resources to improve their situation.” said Harris. “The value of a solid freight payment process that encompasses high data integrity and excellent analysis tools is easily underestimated. Shippers need to know their freight payment process can be better.”
