“We are excited about bringing lunch hours back for the weekends,” says Kelli O’Reilly, Blue’s general manager and co-owner. “Our customers have been asking us to reopen for lunches and we are happy to offer our customers great food with a beautiful view during the day on weekends,” she added.
Lunch is now served every Saturday and Sunday throughout the year from 11:30 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. Dinner is served every day starting at 4 p.m.
Blue at the Topaz offers indoor dining, as well as outdoor dining on a Victorian wrap-around porch. A sampling of their lunch menu includes;Scollop Salad, Greek Salad, BBQ Chicken Salad, Black Angus Cheeseburger, Fish Tacos, Wasabi horseradish Honey Crusted Salmon, and a Fish of the Day entrée.
Most of the staff has been at Blue since they opened their doors in 2002. Their special event banquet room is a mini-museum with memorabilia from the 19th and 20th centuries. There are antique toys, historic train sets, and photos of the Topaz Hotel from its humble beginnings when nothing else surrounded it on the beach. They are located at 1224 S. Oceanshore Blvd. in Flagler Beach and their normal operating hours are from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and 11:30 a.m to 2:45 p.m. for lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
