Dr. Levine’s second book signing will be held on August 9, 2014 at Ellen’s Run. Prior to the book signing, she will be conducting a Foot Facial Demonstration where she will be giving live foot massages.
Dr. Levine was inspired to have the book signing and live demonstration in the Hamptons because it’s the time of year that everyone practically lives on the beach. She has found that many people focus their attention on their skin, hair, and physique, but they neglect one of the most important areas of the body - their feet. A woman will sacrifice comfort in order to wear her favorite pair of designer stilettos.
"It's not about brand, it's about what fits you appropriately and makes you feel fabulous," says Dr. Levine.
One of the highlighted chapters in her book is about celebrities. She reveals how celebrities aren’t exempt from common foot problems; they suffer from the same foot problems as everyone else.
According to experts, 75 percent of Americans will experience foot problems at least once during his/her lifetime. As far as women are concerned, they experience four times as many foot problems as men. This is primarily due to the wear and tear on their feet from wearing heels and uncomfortable footwear.
One common foot problem many of her patients experience is the loss of fat that acts as a cushion to support the feet. This causes a painful burning sensation on the bottom of the feet when pressure is added while walking or engaging in sports activities, such as tennis, running and golf.
Dr. Levine’s trademarked “Pillows for Your Feet®” procedure is highly acclaimed for treating the loss of fat (cushioning)
