By: Molly Sheridan Sheridan is the first American woman to run La Ultra and to run two 18,000+ peaks in the Himalayas in one race. After her talk, she will assist Dr. Rajat Chauhan, director of La Ultra, in coordinating event logistics for the 2014 race. Dr. Chauhan, a sports medicine doctor in New Delhi, is also Ashoka University’s director of sports and fitness. Due to her great expertise on health and wellness, Sheridan is continually invited to speak at a variety of noteworthy conferences and universities around the world. Earlier this month, Sheridan presented her talk "Running and Walking for Health and Adventure," at the Jeju Island Designing a New Asia Conference. Addressing health and wellness professionals, she joined many other prestigious speakers such as Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard; After her talk, Sheridan did a book signing at the city hall in Seoul, Korea where she met with foreign ministers and prospective government officials who were running for office.
