Florida Fishing Academy to This Year's First
THIRD THURSDAY FUN-RAISER

(Delray Beach, FL – June 23, 2014)  Cathy Balestriere, general manager of Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel & Tiki Bar, played host on June 19 to a multi-generational crowd of supporters of the Florida Fishing Academy (FFA), a nonprofit afterschool fishing education program benefiting at-risk kids throughout Palm Beach County. Fishing fans of every age were attending this year’s first THIRD THURSDAY FUN-RAISER at the popular, Key West-style boutique hotel.

"What a beautiful spot, and the music and food were just perfect,” declared Rich & Nicole Brochu from the Florida Fishing Academy. “The night was a real success for the FFA, despite the rain, since we not only made some nice money, but we got to meet some new people and make new friends for the Academy.”

FFA uses fishing as a vehicle for delivering effective life, environmental and social skills into a youth-oriented, hands-on sports angling curriculum that has, to date, helped to change the lives of thousands of deserving children. For more information, please visit www.floridafishingacademy.com.

This year’s next THIRD THURSDAY FUN-RAISER at Crane’s BeachHouse will be held on September 18 and will benefit the HOW Foundation, a Delray-based nonprofit organization that increases awareness about the medicinal benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and raises supplementary funds for helping individuals receive treatment for HBOT indications not typically covered by insurance.
