PRLog - June 23, 2014 - LOS ANGELES -- A struggling artist is the focus of the new young adult pilot presentation hoping to go to series. Described as “Friends meets Glee,” the show centers on Madison, a singer and dancer transplanted to Hollywood in hopes of hitting the big time. It was crafted as a proof-of-concept for industry executives to evaluate its potential as an ongoing series.
The pilot exhibits high production value despite its humble budget raised entirely through Kickstarter. The cast consists of several up- and-comers: Madisen Hill, David Hudson, Lindsey Newell, Connor Clayton, Molly Ritter, and Joel Sutton. It was created by Todd Portugal and produced by Jonathan Angelico.
“By self-financing the show and putting it online, the potential to reach an audience increases astronomically,”
The show follows Madison and her close friends as she pursues her dreams. She's always had a talent for singing and dancing, but chasing a career doing what she loves proves to be challenging and often hilarious. The show explores what it's like to follow your passion and all the angst and joy along the way.
