Star Career Academy Brick Campus Supports Oceans of Love

BRICK, N.J. - June 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Star Career Academy in Brick Township, N.J. has pledged its support of the Oceans of Love charitable organization in 2014 with a series of events.  Star Career Academy in Brick offers medical-related education programs in Phlebotomy, Dialysis Technician, Medical Assistant and Surgical Technology.

Ocean of Love is dedicated to helping Ocean County children with cancer and their families, providing financial and emotional support so that they can experience the “normal” joys of childhood. Serving more than 450 families since 1988, Oceans of Love provides counseling, support group meetings, food assistance, household bill assistance, hospital travel expenses, holiday adoptions, parties and more.

Star Career Academy has conducted a Mother’s Day plant and flower auction and hot dog sale with a gift basket raffle upcoming.  To date, Star has raised more than $700 for the charity.

“It’s an honor to work with Oceans of Love,” said Dennis Mascali, campus president.  “The work they do to assist children in need can’t be underestimated.”
