Johns hails from Danville, Virginia, and now resides in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in information technology, which he plans to complete in the fall of 2015. Johns served in the Air Force from 1996 to 2000, where he worked as an Air Crew Life Support Technician at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas.

He brings to his new role a history of building relationships and business development. After moving to Georgia in 2004, he began a sales career with Pitney Bowes as an Area Executive. During his tenure, he achieved numerous awards, accolades, and promotions. Over the past ten years, he has operated in business to business sales roles in the technology sector, financial market, and e-commerce space. He has consulted and sold within all business verticals including state and local government.

Johns and his wife Liz are the parents of five children.
