Janet C Mims of Chicago Recalls Her Prowess as She Watches the NCAA 2014 Women’s Track Championships

CHICAGO - June 22, 2014 - PRLog -- – Janet Mims was born to run.  Having five brothers and five sisters, competition was an everyday occurrence inside and outside the family home in Detroit.  Little did the future Spartan know that she would attract attention on the track and on the fashion run way.

Janet won plenty of track medals and trophies and championships from AAU tournaments to Michigan’s Track All-State Tournament at Cass Tech High School to the Big Ten Conference representing Michigan State University.

At MSU, Janet C. Mims graduated with a degree in Forensic Science and Criminology and went on to pursue her career in clinical drug testing for the Federal Drug Administration.  Janet was given charge of laboratories for a major study of drugs for treating endocarditis: the inflammation of the heart’s inner lining.

While maintaining her career in drug research, the Elite Models agency discovered Janet’s statuesque size 4 shapely frame.  Offers from all over the Midwest began taking Janet down run ways at major events, beginning with Detroit’s annual “Fash Bash.”

The annual "Fash Bash," is a major fashion event for corporate and municipal worlds to attract top flight model agencies featuring celebrities and models showcasing the latest fashion trends. Typically held in the Renaissance Center or the Fox Theatre in August Fash Bash celebrates Detroit Fashion Week and is coordinated by the Detroit Institute of Arts.
