Barrie Real Estate Continues To Grow & Grow Mark Turcotte Barrie Real Estate

BARRIE, Ontario - June 20, 2014 - PRLog -- The Canadian Real Estate Association said Monday that sales in May jumped 5.9% from April which was the largest monthly increase in more than four years. Sales jumped in 80% of the markets surveyed by the group.

May was a phenomenal month for existing homes sales across the country but the jump in activity might say more about the harsh winter than the state of the market.

May was very strong in Barrie for re-sale home in Simcoe County. The winter we had in this community was very cold with lots of snow, very hard for people to getting in the mood to purhase or sell a property this winter.

Another reason for the big lift in sales for May was the lack of inventory for sale in the previous months. This helped push up home prices across the region.

Barrie remains a very strong & stable market and will continue as more people from GTA continue to purchase property in the area and a young demographic that makes up the community will be changing properties a few times of their lifetime.
