CFL Mortgage Heads Fundrasier for GRRF. Over $3,700 Raised for Local Charities

GREENSBORO, N.C. - June 19, 2014 - PRLog -- CFL Mortgage and the Greensboro Regional REALTORS® Association hosted a charity bowling event at Greensboro’s Spare Time Lanes.  This event, titled BOWL 2014: Bettering Our World Locally, was a fundraising effort to benefit the Greensboro Regional REALTORS® Foundation, which is the non-profit outreach branch of the GRRA.  The mission of the REALTORS® Foundation is to provide financial and educational support to organizations in Guilford County that endeavor to help children, victims of domestic violence, low-income families and the homeless.

Michael Brosmith, Branch Manager of CFL Mortgage, said, “We were pleased to have such a successful turnout for the event within the Greensboro REALTOR® community.  Both members and non-members of the GRRA supported this event, and we were glad to be part of the efforts.  Of course, the support of our sponsors was essential for the success of the event, and we greatly appreciate their endorsement.”  The sponsors for BOWL 2014 included notable names associated with the Piedmont Triad real estate community, including: Attorney Jeff Iddings, Pam Sparks & Virginia Grimes at Carolina Bank, Carol Faucette with Investors Title Insurance Company, Matthew Young with GEICO Insurance, Anthony Auman with College Hunks Hauling Junk and Sierra Pacific Mortgage Company, Inc.

In addition, CFL Mortgage donated tickets to the U.S. Open Golf Championships for the Grand Prize drawing as well as 10 cents for every pin knocked down in game play.  This pledge resulted in an additional $750 on top of ticket sales to go towards the total funds raised.  The local lender made the official check presentation at the GRRA’s First Tuesday luncheon on June 3rd.  Michael Brosmith of CFL Mortgage, said, “We are proud to present this check to the Greensboro Regional REALTORS® Foundation in the amount of $3,758.72 from our BOWL 2014 fundrasier.  This money will go right back into our local community to help a number of deserving causes that the REALTORS® Foundation supports.”

The funds raised at BOWL 2014 account for a large percentage of the budgeted needs for the Greensboro Regional REALTORS® Foundation’s financial commitments this year.
