By: Sagacity Media The Department of Energy's IT and Cyber Security Policy Advisor, will be joining the conference with a Key Note presentation, addressing key initiatives and research and development into public and private information sharing to help address the growing concerns and vulnerabilities associated with the convergence of IT an OT in the nations energy sector. The conference has been designed to help develop further understanding in the challenges and solutions Oil, Gas, Electricity and Water companies face with integrated enterprise interfaces. Delegates will have the opportunity to see a demonstration from the founders of Heartbleed, hear about it's impact, and what they need to know to safeguard their infrastructure. Key themes such as challenges in "IT and OT Converged technology" presented by PG&E are discussed, as well as a "Cyber Security and Risk Management" case study presentation from Sacramento Municipal Utilities Distict. Recently confirmed Southern California Edison presentation from the San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station, will address "Cyber Security Controls for Nuclear Power Reactors." Organisers have also arranged Table Top Roundtable interactive exercises for attendees to learn more from leaders such as the EPRI and NIST.
