Dan Coy is a self-taught jazz and blues guitarist based in Atlanta, GA. Coy was born in Columbus, Ohio and began playing guitar at the age of 14. His influences as a guitar player include Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Django Reinhardt, T-Bone Walker and Jimi Hendrix.
In addition to being a successful band leader in the Atlanta area for well over thirty-five years, Dan also enjoys accompanying others and working in recording sessions. Dan has been featured in television and radio shows, concerts, festivals and has shared the stage with such notable musicians as Kenny Loggins, Peter Noone and Little Anthony and has had the honor of performing as the opening act for Herbie Hancock, David Benoit, Dave Samuels, Patricia Barber, Jeff Lorber and more.
