PRLog - Jun. 26, 2014 - CLEVELAND -- Gladiators of The Cage, a Pittsburgh-based MMA promotion, recently announced their next step in becoming one of the best promotions in the country after they were selected by The Hard Rock "Rocksino" in Northfield Park, Ohio to put on their next MMA event.
HARD ROCK GOTC MMA
After an intensive search throughout the region for MMA promotions to fill the 200,000 square foot venue, Gladiators of The Cage was chosen by the Rocksino as one of the most qualified and entertaining promotions, displaying the quality and consistency that a brand like the Hard Rock is used to partnering with.
This is the first time an MMA promotion has appeared in the Rocksino, which is also a historic venue, the very first of its kind in the world.
"We're extremely excited about this partnership with one of the world's most recognizable brands," said Robert Joseph, Founder and CEO of Gladiators of The Cage.
"We've put so much effort into making GOTC the best promotion not only in the Pittsburgh area, but on the East Coast. I have such a great team of professionals that are very passionate about making this successful for the fans and the fighters," Joseph added.
In 2013, Gladiators of The Cage was named "Top Promotion in Pittsburgh" by Knuckle Dragger magazine, and is in the process of creating a series that highlights several fighters on their journeys to and from the cage.
It's very easy for local fight promotions to cut corners and just get as many people in the seats as possible, but Gladiators of The Cage does not adopt the same motto, utilizing the area's top venues, including Stage AE, Pittsburgh's premier location for concerts in the downtown region.
Gladiators of The Cage is the top paying fight promotion in Pittsburgh, but also a contender for competitive pay amongst local promotions across the nation.
"We want the best talent, and the only way to do that is to put our money where our mouth is and create an environment that encourages fighters to put their best foot forward," said Scott Betten, Managing Partner of Gladiators of The Cage.
"It's not hard to be second best, we're striving for greatness, and we want our fighters to do the same. Our owner has given us the best tools to do that," Betten added.
GOTC has seen a meteoric rise since their inception over a year ago, and has quickly become a fan favorite, posting record ticket sales for the area. The company has also launched a brand new website and accompanying MMA magazine, highlighting local MMA from across the nation.
“The magazine and website are great tools to promote a great brand. It also exposes top-level fighters and promotions from around the nation that don’t get the national exposure that the UFC and Bellator receive,”said Rodney Burrell, Editor at BMG Publishing, the group managing GOTC’s website and magazine.
Gladiators of The Cage "Road to Glory VII" will take place on July 19th, 2014. Tickets are available through Gladiators of the Cage (GOTC MMA), the box office at the Hard Rock Rocksino, and all Ticketmaster locations. Tickets start at just $45 for general admission. The fights will also be streamed live at GOTCMMA.com.
This is a 21 year old and older event. Next event is at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA, August 9th. For further information on any of these events, call 412.403.8954 or email at GOTCMMA@gmail.com
