Technology for sourcing candidates has created a flood of applicants for each job posted online. The volume of applicants is making it nearly impossible for companies to find qualified talent for open positions, in a time where there are record numbers of active job seekers. VLAB is presenting a unique opportunity to learn about innovations and disruptions that are taking place that affect companies in Silicon Valley, Boston, NYC, and beyond.
Driscoll will open the panel with an overview of the industry, which will be followed by Alex Dévé’s overview of his company, Whitetruffle, the featured start-up on the panel. “VLAB is very excited to bring together this panel of innovators for the final event of the 2013-2014 season,” said Jeanne Wiseman, Program Chair at MIT/Stanford Venture Lab. “The audience will not only be treated to what promises to be a very lively discussion, but will also have a chance to learn how startup companies are building their businesses, fine-tuning their business models, and getting funding.”
The Demo Showcase will feature ten companies with talent sourcing solutions that range from social referrals to skills verification. Demonstrations will be available during the reception at 6pm outside of Stanford Graduate School of Business, Knight Management Center – Cemex Auditorium, Zambrano Hall, 641 Knight Way, Stanford, CA. The moderated panel will begin at 7pm.
