Darker Horse Creative Gives Back in a Big Way with their Fifth Annual Beauty Bash Experience

CHICAGO - June 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Darker Horse Creative gears up for the 5^th Annual Beauty Bash, their signature fundraising event dedicated to uplifting Chicagoland beauty industry professionals to benefit Autism awareness. Every year hundreds of high profile beauty professionals come together to share in their love for beauty, hair, fashion and giving.

Beauty Bash will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 with doors opening at 7pm at The Shrine, 2109 S. Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL.  Sophisticate’s Black Hair Style and Hair Guide will serve as media partner for the event. Sophisticate’s Black Hair Styles & Care Guide is the number one biggest Black-beauty media community in the world. Celebrating over 28 years in business, the media company has been recognized by many organizations and millions of readers from around the world as the source for hair and beauty information people of color.

According to research conducted by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, Autism has risen from 1 in 110 in 2008 and to 1 in 88 in 2012. Autism is the fastest-growing developmental disability, but the national response has been insufficient in addressing disparities in equal access to appropriate education, employment, independent living and diagnostic and treatment services.  The challenges of accessing care, support and education faced by families are often complex and lifelong, creating significant financial and other hardships.
